NASCAR – Talladega – Alabama

Tom Cavalli and friend posing for picture with NASCAR Sprint Cup winnerJoey Logano

We were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived at the track.  Hot Passes, Tour of Pit Road, Pace Car Ride, Drivers meeting, Victory Lane, and even a photo with the winner after the race.

For as many NASCAR trips as I have won, each won is a bit different.  You can imagine my surprise when I notice my name on the Pace Car.  Before the pace car rides started a large line was forming as many get this opportunity before the race.  Our host told us we don’t wait in lines for a VIP experience.   We walked up to the gentleman in charge at the front of the line and she said “She that name on the car…that is his…we need to go out first.” and we did.

With Hot Passes, I always like to watch till at least the first pit stop from pit road before heading to the seats.  We did have to make our way back before the end of the race to have a great spot for victory lane.  Joey Logano won the race and we waiting patiently chatting with his wife before getting our turn for a photo with the winner.

A complete, full day of NASCAR racing at Talladega Speedway.
