I was selected as the Fantern for Michael Waltrip Racing and spent the day with the team, from prepping the car, going through inspection, and sitting on top of the pit box during the race.
The driver I was with was the driver of the #55 David Ragan. This was the first time I was ever at Bristol and I had considered it a must for all racing fans, especially the night race.
David was running well in the race, but spun and collected the wall. I was given the front quarter panel to take home as a souvenir.
